Personal Statement	I am board certified in both general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. I am the Director of the Indiana University geriatric psychiatry fellowship program and have a long term commitment to education. I teach psychiatry resident physicians, geriatric medicine and geriatric psychiatry fellows. I have worked to meet the needs of our aging veterans through the development and implementation of an Older Adult Mental Health Clinic at the Roudebush VA Medical Center.

Current Academic Interests	Teaching: I teach resident physicians, geriatric fellows and geriatric psychiatry fellows Alzheimer’s disease and ways to address caregiver burden. Clinical: My clinical practice is 80% geriatrics and approximately 50% of those patients have Alzheimer’s disease. Here I treat Alzheimer’s disease, identify caregiver burden and help caregivers by referring them to the Alzheimer’s Association or to groups in the community or to caregiver group held at the VA medical center. Research: I continue to be a co-pi to Dr. Hall’s Indianapolis Ibadan dementia research project. This projects a longitudinal study of dementia risk factors.
