Clinical Care

The Department of Psychiatry faculty and staff deliver the most advanced psychiatric treatment available in Indiana through the integration of the three Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) missions of excellence in patient care, education, and research. 

A multitude of clinical services are available for patients across the age spectrum  including consultation; evaluation; testing; multiple therapeutic models such as individual and family therapy, behavioral training, and manualized treatments for anxiety and depression;  medication treatment,  and opportunities for research participation in the development of novel treatments.

With the goal of  providing the best and latest in evidence-based treatments, Department of Psychiatry clinical care utilizes a specialty clinic model at locations across the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. Specialty clinics under the direction of IUSM faculty psychiatrists and psychologists are dedicated to the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and geriatric disorders.  IUSM faculty also offer clinics specializing in forensic evaluations and adult clinical neuropsychology assessment and treatment planning.
