Housing Information

Indianapolis provides one of the most affordable and desirable housing markets in the nation (ranked #2 in Forbes Magazine's 2010 Most Affordable Cities to Buy a Home).  Most of our residents choose to purchase their own home or condo when they begin their residency, though renting is becoming a popular option. No matter your choice, every type of community imaginable is within a 15-to-30 minute commute of campus.  Rural communities can be found in Franklin (also home to Franklin College), Plainfield/Monrovia, and Brownsburg. Carmel, Zionsville, and Westfield offer small towns with a more urban feel.  Suburban family lifestyles are strong in Fishers and Noblesville, while downtown living is on the rise and flourishing in the Lockerbie, Fall Creek, Fountain Square, and Chatham Arch enclaves.  Just north of downtown you'll find the established neighborhood villages of Broad Ripple, Butler-Tarkington, and Meridian-Kessler.
