Personal Statement  As a clinical health psychologist, I work with individuals experiencing both psychiatric and medical issues. I use an individualized and evidence-based approach to treatment and specialize in mood, anxiety, and adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, cardiac psychology, stress psychology, women’s issues, and coping with chronic medical conditions. My research pursuits focus on the evaluation of cognitive-behavioral interventions for mood and anxiety disorders as well as growing the evidence base for acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies in practice. My teaching activities include clinical supervision and didactic training of medical students, psychiatry residents, and psychology interns.

Current Academic Interests  Teaching: I serve as the course director for resident training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I teach Introduction to Health Psychology for psychology interns. I provide clinical supervision in adult outpatient psychotherapy and cardiac psychology.

Clinical: I offer diagnostic assessments, evidence-based psychotherapy, stress management and biofeedback at the Adult Psychiatry Clinic and Study Center located at the IU Health Neuroscience Center.

Research: I am interested in understanding the mechanisms of action in mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies and who benefits the most from them.
