Fragile X Syndrome

Research at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fragile X Syndrome Clinic focuses on treating symptoms commonly seen in individuals with fragile X syndrome. This clinic recently became a founding member of the National Fragile X Foundation Clinic Consortium, a group dedicated to fostering effective treatment and research focused on fragile X syndrome.  The clinic has received funding from the FRAXA Research Foundation and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  In 2008 the Fragile X Syndrome Clinic plans to begin participation in multi-center clinical trials of novel drugs focused specifically on individuals with fragile X syndrome.
