Located at Indiana University Hospital on the Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis campus, the Mood and Emotional Disorders Across the Lifespan (MEDALS) center is a premier Mood Disorder research and treatment center. The professionals associated with MEDALS are dedicated to researching, sharing, exploring, and understanding Mood Disorders across the entire life span from childhood through adulthood.

The center is led by Amit Anand, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry and Radiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Anand has dedicated the past 20 years of his career to finding the cause of psychiatric illnesses, in particular the mood disorders - bipolar disorder and depression.
